It’s almost here.  We’ve got our Jelly Rolls ready but we’re still trying to decide on what to make – there are that many choices!

I started my search on the Moda Bake Shop.  I decided to limit my options to just 1 Jelly Roll and yardage – borders, background, scrappy, whatever.  But just one Jelly Roll to start.

This is When Life Is Scrappy by Vanessa Goertzen of Lella Boutique.

For all of the quilts, just click the image to go to the Moda Bake Shop pattern.

Call me crazy but I think I’ve made this worse… which one to make?

Which one would you make?

Leave a comment by Midnight – CST on Friday, September 15 and you could win a Jelly Roll or two.

You’ll have to figure out what to sew on Saturday, but you’ll be ready for next year!

Happy Wednesday!

    1. Hey Pauline! That would be my second choice. I like Lattice Bones but would have to make it not-square. 😉

  1. This is great! I would like to try Fancy or the jellied lone star….I have a jelly roll that’s been waiting to be used so I’m in!

  2. What great ideas. I am loving Dottie and Vanessa’s When Life Gives You Scraps has been on my to do list since it’s first sneak peek. Lol
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  3. Cartwheels! Great colors. I love that one for the upstairs or Fancy for my mom’s area to create a new space for her since my father’s passing in January.

  4. Lattice Bones by Julie Hirt – making that quilt would take me out of my comfort zone and that’s what I need to do!

  5. Whirlygigs!!! Has been on my project table for over a year! Finally found the right background and now the motivation. See you on the 16th.

  6. I love the Granny’s Insanity, however the Gardenvale Chain is the perfect quilt pattern to make twin bed quilts for two of my granddaughters, they share a bedroom and are redecorating with a “big girl” look!

  7. Granny’s Insanity, is wonderful……so it Lattice Bones!! They all are great, touch choices!!!
    Di

Granny’s Insanity is wonderful…….so is Lattice Bones….they all are great!! Hard choices!!

  8. If your goal is to get your quilt mostly completed on Saturday, I’m thinking the Gardenvale quilt will fill the bill! Any quilt you choose will be a winner. Lattice bones will be my choice, but I will only be able to sew part of the day, grandsons are playing ball and I must/want to do grandma duty. 🙂

  9. You have actually made this easier for me, I am going t make “Fancy” by Keera Job. Thanks so much to the help and this fun day I am really looking forward to it!

  10. Waw, what a choise…. I would go for Cartwheels, the for Granny’s Insanity… It would have to be a looooooong day. LOL

  11. I make mostly baby quilts, and I can get 3 from one Jelly Roll. I’d make positively sweet, lattice bones, and cartwheels.

  12. I would love to make Lattice Bones by Julie Hirt and I promise I wouldn’t let any dust gather on my Jelly Roll if I won… they’re waay too yummy for that !

  13. Gardenvale Chain and Fancy appeal the most. I hope to be starting the Ruby Quilt Along hexagon quilt on Saturday. Happy sewing!

  14. I’m going to make the Jelly Bean Quilt by Thimbleblossoms – not on your list but has been on mine for quite a while!

  15. I’ve already made “Fancy”, but I would definitely make it again. I also want to make “Granny’s Insanity”.

  16. I’ve narrowed it down to my two favorites: When Life is Scrappy and Gardenvale Chain, but they’re all great! Thanks.

  17. I love them all but I’d make Dottie- I love the strip piecing construction. Thanks for all the ideas!

  18. I’d make Granny’s Insanity! I like the finished quilt size, and the pattern is simple yet interesting to look at. I like the color play between the darker and lighter fabrics in each ‘granny’ block.

  19. Since I have a number of different Jelly Rolls I could use, I will either make the Jellied Lonestar or the Whirligigs. I am thinking the Jellied Lonestar would be gorgeous made using a roll I have of a 3 Sisters Christmas collection (and would be a great gift!)

  20. Lattice Bones by Julie Hirt was the first jelly roll pattern that I made. I would make it again in a heart beat. Especially since I gave away the quilt that I made the jelly roll with. I loved that quilt.

  21. They are all awesome but I’m voting for Cartwheel. It looks inviting! l have been looking forward to tomorrow – will be finishing 2 jelly roll race quilts. Have fun everyone!

  22. All are beautiful, but I’m going to have to go with Mixed Bag because I’ve got a bright rainbow jelly roll. Thanks for all the great patterns!

  23. I am going to just love this Jelly Roll Holiday. So much to do and so much fun. I love all of these patterns but I want to make Granny’s Insanity Quilt. I can relate to this one perfectly. Maybe I will become this when this is all over and I have finally accomplished my Jelly Roll Day. Thank you for all your support and this wonderful list of jelly roll goodies. You are such a neat and wonderful person. Yes, you are a really a blessing and so look forward to your post.

  24. The Whirligigs catches my eye for a later project. I’ve already picked a pattern for this sew along – Spellbound Jelly Roll Quilt by Fat Quarter Shop.

  25. I really like Whirligig, it is completely different to anything I have made before. Thank you for a great giveaway. x

  26. I really love them all~no surprise as I love most things MODA! But, if I had to choose just one I would make Cartwheels for my gymnast Granddaughter!

  27. Ipoh, you did make it “worse” in the best way! So many great choices. I’m going to make Jellied Lone Star Or Fancy or When Life is Scrappy or….

  28. “Cartwheel” is so full of play. I’d try that first, because I’d rather sew a cartwheel then try to do a cartwheel at my age!

  29. Decisions, decisions…from the choice of which jelly roll to unwrap to which project to sew. Lattice Bones looks very interesting and would make a great snuggle quilt. Thank you.

  30. It’s a toss up between Whirligigs and Jellied Lonestar. Sure make us choose. I’m downloading both. But I think Whirligigs will come first. Thanks for the patterns and Inspiration.

  31. Aaaarrrggghhh……see? This is the problem! I think Lattice Bones……or not..or Granny’s Insanity….or not….

  32. I love Fancy and Cartwheels. I plan on starting a jelly roll design that I have for a quilt for a Harvey person in need. Thanks!

  33. Thank you for the inspiration and the chance to win. I can see myself making a bunch of these beauties <3 I have never done a lone star or a lattice so those are tempting, but I know someone who would absolutely love Positively Sweet done with a simple modification to make it pluses and minuses. So I thank you for bringing that to my attention 🙂

  34. After this last 2 weeks, I’m going with When Life Is Scrappy! I’ve had a husband with emergency surgery and a long stay in ICU, a hurricane that just didn’t quit, a house that is a disaster outside (but totally safe within for which I am very thankful) and I would just LOVE to have some time to sit down and sew that quilt to remember all the blessings during these last two weeks of “scrapiness”!

  35. Granny’s Insanity took my eye immediately and Gardenvale Chain is a close second for fun quilts to make.

  36. Most Definitely Jellied Lone Star – For whatever reason I LOVE LOVE LOVE the LoneStar. You can see where the compass star comes from!

  37. Lattice bones with its bright colors , just got out of the hospital and need to go back in 2 weeks for a procedure. It’s a happy quilt. Do love Fancy also and of course When Life Gets Scrappy.

  38. Jellied Lone Star is on my list to make with my Fire and Ice jelly roll, but tomorrow I am making Cross Terrain from the MBS with my Prairie and Bella Bleached White jelly rolls. The friend I will be sewing with is making Fancy with Happy Go Lucky.

  39. It’s so difficult to choose! But I think I would make When Life Is Scrappy by Vanessa Goertzen of Lella Boutique.

  40. ” Granny’s insanity” is the most attractive to me. I want to try it, it seems like a fun pattern!
